Mark Confessore was born in Long Island, New York.
He studied at top Culinary Schools in New York State including Culinary Arts Program at the De Seversky Center and the C.I.A. (Culinary Institute of America). He developed his craft working with the James Beard Award Winning Chef Robert Rizzoto where he learned every aspect of food service including dining, nutrition and proper techniques on Foods of the World. Chef Mark took his culinary passion to Laguna Beach, California for several years and brought his talents to top restaurants like The Loft, with an American Contemporary Palate and Studio, a classic French restaurant located in the scenic cliffs of the Montage Resort Laguna. He joined Marriott Residence Inn Fort Lauderdale/IL Lugano 10 years ago where he worked under the tutelage of Chef Mark Miletello of Marks Las Olas. Chef Mark is currently working closely with his mentor, Chef Thomas Ciszak, on opening the new waterfront restaurant, Osteria Oria Terraza, inside the beautiful Residence Inn Ft. Lauderdale Intracoastal/Il Lugano hotel as the Executive Chef.
